M43 - De Mairan's Nebula

Searated from the large and bright M42 (the Great Orion Nebula), by a dark and turbulent dusty rift, M43 is a mixture of emission and reflection nebulae and is a prolific star forming area.

Camera/Exposure: ST2000XM with Astrodon filters. LRGB image
15 mins each LRGB
 
     
Notes: Very windy - gusts up to 25-30mph.
I have tried to reveal the beautiful colour hues in this area.
