A large spiral galaxy in the Virgo Cluster of Galaxies similar to M64 due to little star formation in the outer arms.
M90 is interacting with and disturbing it's neighbour galaxy IC3583 (just below M90).

Date/Location: 6-7-8-10 April 2008   Corringham, Essex
Equipment: 8" f/5 reflector
Camera/Exposure: ST2000XM CCD camera with Astrodon filters. LHaRGB 120/50/30/30/30 mins
Notes: Some collimation errors are noticeable. Very misty conditions resulting in light pollution gradients.
The Ha data was very weak and contributed only to the colouration of the galaxy core apart from two or three very small HII regions
