This large, faint globular cluster situated in the constellation Bootes (about five degrees east of M3) looks more like a rich open cluster. Research has shown that stars are being stripped from this globular at an extraordinary rate by the Milky Way galaxy and have been traced to stretch over forty five degrees of sky. |
