Astrophotography by Eddie Guscott

NGC6229

Sometimes referred to as 'the third globular in Hercules', this small globular cluster is overshadowed by it's large, bright neighbours M13 and M92 and is often overlooked. This cluster is difficult to resolve due to it's great distance (around three times more distant than M92) of 120,000 light years.
