M92 - Globular Cluster

A globular cluster in the constellation Hercules. This "star city" contains around 330,000 stars and lies at a distance of about 26,000 light years

Date/Location: Corringham 28 April 2006
Equipment: 5" f/6 TMB refractor on AP900 mount
Camera/Exposure: ST2000XM CCD camera/Astrodon filters   LRGB 40/40/40/40 all 5 min subs.

Equipment: 12" F4 reflector on Aim Controls EQ2 mount / TTL Filter Wheel
Camera/Exposure: HX916 ccd camera : L= 8mins (2x2), R= 6mins (2x2), G = 6mins (2x2), B =  6mins (2x2)
Processing: Calibration, alignment & combining with AIP4WIN,   post processed (levels & curves ) in Photoshop 7
